Yeah!!Our Taj has finally made it to the seven wonders'
list.Although many are against this kind of voting as
they believe there is no need of anybody's vote to prove
that these structures are indeed wonders by mankind,while
another group of people believe that beauty cannot
be measured.
But I personally have no objection as the earlier 7 wonders
were chosen more than a 2000 years back,and only the
greatPyramids of Giza,Egypt has managed to survive the
time.The earliest known list was made in 2nd century BC.
And most of the present wonders wern't even present
when the list was made.And if beauty really cannot be
measured why do they have Miss Universe and other beauty
contests??

Personally am not very much in agreement with this whole idea.(Though i did vote;))The organization is a for-profit one for one reason, and if its a wonder that you are gauging, then i feel 'we-people with a net connection and access to mobiles' aren't the people to decide, but architects, archaeologists, artists etc who know more about the buildings, who can understand the intricacies of the buildings plus realise the magnitude of the whole thing from the perspective of the ancients and from within the limitations of ancient times - are the people to decide.
But if it was something like the most beautiful wonder or something, we can decide, because beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.:)
ya...i know we r not d ppl to decide...but when some1 starts a poll like dis...millions r guaranteed to respond...So the result of the poll will be accepted by many too...Thats y i voted...I dont believe that these
monuments r the best 7...But for sure among the best...
Unesco is d body to decide the 7 wonders...but as theyve not done anythin in that line...lets be happy wid d results of this poll :)
