Yeah!!Our Taj has finally made it to the seven wonders'
list.Although many are against this kind of voting as
they believe there is no need of anybody's vote to prove
that these structures are indeed wonders by mankind,while
another group of people believe that beauty cannot
be measured.
But I personally have no objection as the earlier 7 wonders
were chosen more than a 2000 years back,and only the
greatPyramids of Giza,Egypt has managed to survive the
time.The earliest known list was made in 2nd century BC.
And most of the present wonders wern't even present
when the list was made.And if beauty really cannot be
measured why do they have Miss Universe and other beauty
contests??

world are going to be listed outagain...In late 2005 the
N7W(New 7 Wonders) panel chose 21 candidates from the top 77 nominees that had earned the most votes, and these 21 are now in the final stage of the competition.And Taj Mahal is one among them...The New 7 Wonders of the World will be announced during the Official Declaration ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal on Saturday, July 7, 2007 - 07.07.07.

Renowned music director A.R. Rahman has launched a campaign
to include Taj Mahal among the 'Seven Wonders of the World, by
releasing a soulful and resonant anthem to motivate people to vote for the
Indian architectural marvel.
One of the most beautiful monuments ever built,the Taj Mahal,stands
on the bank of river yamuna.It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory
of his wife,Arjumand Banu(Also Known as Mumtaz Mahal).
The construction began in 1631,and it took 22 years and 22,000 men
to bring up this work of art.The emperor was deposed by his son
and imprisoned in the Great Red Fort for eight years but was buried
in the Taj.During his imprisonment, he had a view of only the Taj through a
small window in his cell.
Taj Mahal is a symbol of love passion and architectural
brilliance...vote for the Taj...
